This website makes every attempt to ensure compliance with international copyright laws, and we expect our users to do the same.

On The Publication Of Content

Any content not your creation, is, by default, a copyright of the creator under the 'Berne copyright convention'. There are exceptions as follows:

1) In the case where the copyright has expired. Learn more about the duration of a copyright.

2) If the original author has released the content under the public domain. This means anyone can use it.

If the content is copyrighted, as above, you cannot use it unless:

1) You have received permission from the original author.

2) The use can be reasonably considered under Fair Use.

On The Linking Of Content

The linking of content is still a grey area in law, however our restrictions are as follows. Linking to other files can only happen if all of these are met:

1) You are not intending to encourage or facilitate the download of copyright material.

2) None of the links you create are to the download of content which is copyright infringement, or to another website which violates these rules.

3) In the case of user-submitted content:

a) Any copyright infringement you discover must be removed within 24 hours of discovery.

b) You must have provided a valid email address, and check for any reports of violation mailed there within 24 hours.

c) Your website must have a tool that allows the reporting of copyright infringement.

d) Reasonable effort must be made to educate your users that copyright content is not allowed. Your users must all agree to a Terms of Service which disallows this activity.

4) If the webmaster of the website has given permission, or no complaint from them has been received.

On The Removal Of Content

If violations are found, we believe 24 hours is adequate response time, and 48 hours is adequate removal time. Failure to comply within this time will most likely result in the suspension or termination of the account involved.
